Rihanna Gets Gun Tattoo on Rib Cage

Rihanna, who was allegedly battered by boyfriend Chris Brown, has apparently gotten a gun tattoo etched across her ribcage.

According to Los Angeles-based tattoo artist BangBang, the 21-year-old singer -- who often wears a miniature gun pendant necklace -- had him draw two guns on the top of both of her arms.

She decided not to get inked there because of her lucrative Cover Girl deal, BangBang says on his MySpace page.

"I really wanted to put it here [on her arms]... She loved 'em. But, Cover Girl wouldn’t have liked it much... and they pay the bills!" he writes under one photos. "Ended up doing it on her ribs."

The gun isn't Rihanna's first piece of body art: She has a collection of stars down her back, a music note on her ankle and a Pisces sign behind her right ear, as well as a star inside her left ear and the word "Shhh..." on her index finger.

Brown, who has been charged with two felony counts of assault and making criminal threats for allegedly beating Rihanna, is to be arraigned April 6.
